How are special?

Lanterns are very interesting artifacts. Make your special occasion even more special and festive party atmosphere with their lights. These lanterns can be created from various materials such as paper, wood and candles. An important aspect of paper lantern is to be kept very simple and inexpensive for its compactness, and some designs are also leaflets. Ways First, paper lanterns were easy to light in a room, but soon developed structures and complex structures rose a modest contribution to the promotion of artistic objects and scope.

Who first?

The ancient Chinese and Japanese were the first to create the lanterns. The first street lamps were very rude and had no decorative elements around them changed, but the construction of paper lanterns just wanted to show you their importance and position in their communities through the creation of elaborate lanterns for their homes and temples. The role of the lantern during the Festival of Asia has never fallen, as now, these small lights can be seen on any event that marks special occasions. Lighting a paper lantern has a great significance in Asian culture also, as the world becomes more advanced, and more.
Process of creating
Paper lanterns have since then have taken on various shapes and sizes making them unique and artistic. The lanterns can be made from any material imagined to suit your needs. Sky lanterns, also called fire balloons, are very famous and unique in that they have the ability to rise once the little candle is lit. By closing the box frame of the simple paper lantern, these floating lanterns follow the principles of hot air ballooning. They are believed to carry messages to the gods in an effort to curry favor, so thousand can be seen floating in the sky during the Chinese New Year when almost every Asian prays for blessings for the New Year. This is truly a magnificent sight to see.
The very first lanterns were made by framing paper with a bamboo frame, but as time went by designs became true works of art. Today lanterns are made in factories that churn out plastic, wooden and even metal framed lanterns with quite a long lifespan.
Why create bag lanterns
Paper bag lanterns are used to mark special events with the added value that they are very easy and inexpensive to make. To create a very special effect at your function, scatter these paper lanterns around your garden or line your pathway with these welcoming lights.
All you need are a couple of plain paper bags, a container of sand and a couple of tiny candles. Now fill these bags with three scoops of sand and push it down to the bottom. Push your candle into the sand ensuring it sits at even distances from the sides. Place your bag lanterns where you see fit and light the candles. Should you want something a bit more decorative, you may cut shapes into the bag or even paint them with translucent paint to create interesting shadows.
Fire hazards are not good
Avoid fire hazards by making your lanterns from materials which are fire resistant and safe like cutting shapes into metal cans. Keep your children and pets away from burning flames as they will investigate and get badly burned. Take special care of where you place your burning lanterns as the open flame may ignite items like curtains or furniture.
Never tamper with lanterns that have electrical bulbs as this may cause a fire in an instant. Many lanterns made today are highly flammable and getting them close to any open flame spells disaster.
